A week of wandering
favorite places found
and we returned many times.
Anna served us coffee
in the Village café
where we spent hours
lingering over empty cups
until on Thursday
you saw a spark
and I saw the same in you.
You accepted the surrender I had
to offer and I accepted
the mastery you would expect.
Barriers fell
and you accepted as homage
what I had to give.
